These two things are two of the most dangerous items in any marriage.  1. TV.  If you have a TV in you house there are a few things that you need to do to manage TV in marriage.  You only need one TV in your home, and that TV should not be in the bedroom!  You need to regulate the amount of TV you watch.  If you are going to watch TV at least watch it together.  2.  A recliner.  Now I know there are a lot of men out there that would never give up their “chair”, but can I suggest you do.  If you are not yet married get a sectional sofa, or one sofa.  Do not have a chair and a sofa.  Usually I sit in the chair and Laura sits on the couch.  I would give anything to go back to those days when we were dating and we would snuggle together on the couch.  TV, and recliners, two items that can destroy your marriage, have them with caution.

Here are some recent pictures of my little girl.  While at times being a parent(especially to a little girl) can be the most difficult job in the world, it is without question one of the biggest blessings in my life.

I know I am not supposed to envy, but I am an envious person.  A friend of my just bought a new house, another just got a big TV, and yet another just got a new car.  I have a nice home, a wonderful, awesome car(thanks mom), and a functioning TV.  I also have a lot of things that other people don’t, a MacBook(thanks mom), a Taylor, a job.  But I have to be honest, I find myself saying things like this, (this is honesty here) ‘God, why can’t I go full time with my job so we can buy a house.  God, why can’t I make more money so that I can have some of the things my friends have.  God, I am doing my best, why can’t you bless me more.’  The truth of the matter is that I am blessed beyond what I deserve, and if anything, most of my blessings should be taken away.  God spoke to me about this today, about my treasures.  I want to be laying up treasures in Heaven, and that is going to require sacrifice on my part.  God, give me the strength to seek you as my ultimate treasure.
